Get the other skin off the nut (the bit that spins around) and then smash a 15mm socket over it (pref a impact socket)

You can buy sockets designed for removing locking wheel nuts, they have a reverse cutting thread which basically bites into the nut/bolt as u're turning.

I tired em on mine but I didnt have the right size.

In the end went for hammering a socket over the nut did the trick for me.

Set costs a fortune though, these were 17 and 19mm ones and were only a fiver off ebay.

rite that gatorgrip thing is wank! i tried one on my mrs car the other week.. and guess what i broke the fucker! did use a BIG breaker bar though and all my weight (i had previously gunned the nuts on )
It depends on the type of nut really! the ones on my cab you could just get a 17mm socket and bash it on.. they come off no problem!
On my mrs car.. they its PROPPER hard as they are just round! the only thing the locking key fits into is 4 little dimples in the face of the 'nut'
I ended up having to get a 6 sided, 12mm, deep, 1/2" drive, impact socket for my ex-girlfriends dad who sells snap-on stuff to get the buggers off!

Had mine removed today using one of these. Piece of piss. Previous owner lost the key so had a new set of lock nuts fitted. They were on way too tight as well. No need for them to be gunned down...only supposed to be on as a lock nut, not a physical securing nut. That's how the lock key tangs break off in the first place.

So much easier to use a gun though!

If you have a key for these locking nuts then drill one of the pins out so you are left with two pins as opposed to three and this should fit.

My mate works in a tyre place and thats what he uses when people lose there key - he has used it to remove loads of these wheel nuts and it hasnt failed to fit yet!!

A one pin would be the best option but isnt as strong and may break.

Because it stops someone nicking your wheels
Because insurance insist they are fitted (altho they don't physically check)
Because they do work (otherwise this thread wouldn't exist..)
