secs monitor faults?

Default secs monitor faults?

Any body had any problems with these?

as mine seems to have been stoping my car running, now its disconnected its running fine?

the wiring "should" be right is it a fault with the unit???

Cant see why it's stopping the car running as it only piggybacks the ecu,bit of a strange one ?

Bad installaion is usually the cause of this problem . !

You either have a loose connection or short in one of the 6 wires that connect to the ecu from the monitor.

The plug on the back of the monitor if not fully seated can also do this.

Check also that nothing is shorting the back of the circuit board when its installed into the dash.

You can check for problems by examining the sensor values BEFORE you start the engine to make sure they read right.

Well as I said above, its most likely a wiring fault or the plug on the back of the monitor isnt seated properly !

If its stopping the engine running, I would guess the earth connection is at fault

Unless somethings shorting inside the SECS and so when disconnected this rectifys it.

My screens shot on mine too , might bit the bullet and buy a collins pectel monitor as it seems there so hard to get repaired .

your moniter must be fragged

if its cutting the car out when plugged in sounds to me as if you have a 12v short ..... that is if the wiring ok
short is probably on the monitor itself
