How do you know this isn't stolen?

Exactly, ad says he bought it like that, which may be true, but still dodgy!
Would be interesting to round up black 500/500rep owners who's cars have been nicked and see if they could identify it. No point in getting hung up about it I guess, it's well beyond saving now and would never be able to prove it anyway.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
His ad says the car has no ID so I'm guessing the VIN has been ground out which would surely pretty much guarantee it had been stolen at some point in the past?
And don't real RS500s have the corner cut off the battery tray?

No ID so worthless to anyone looking to re-shell legally anyway - i'd be asking why it's had the floor number removed, if it's stolen and recovered recently the owner would have the correct paperwork it's really the only way i can think of legal.
Other than that really the police should be asking the owner why he/she are in the possession of a vehicle with no id that they have no papers for - they should have the part seized under to prevent the proceeds of crime
