is a high pitched sound like a piston type valve or more of a lower deeper sound?
i can get one for £90 second hand is that worth it?

no they dont sound anything like piston dumpvalves, they sound more airy and deeper. 90quids reasonable just make sure the diaphram isnt split and the spring hasnt gone weak they start at 185 plus vat for new 1
