Sticking with the un1 I've got but getting a 1 piece shaft made(that's the weak point) it will then b able to take 600lbs of torque then on slicks. Than when I know it won't break I'll get an atb.
I don't wanna buy the diff now, then break the box and take the diff with it.

I want the grip, predictability, fun, and knowing it won't break. That you get with a proper diff.

Cool that the standard box can be uprated like that, so much easier than having to have new adaptor plate and shafts etc made!

Makes sense!

Yeah its certainly a better drive, much better off the line than it was on the open diff too, as it spins 2 wheels now not one, lol

Paul, yeah that's the meet. I've changed my plugs and the missfire is better, but still there which I found out that night with you. I haven't got cash to replace the engine, so not risking it.

Stu, this is why I may get rid of the Escort. I'm getting past the point of having to keep up with everyone down the Mile, but I won't be happy with the Escort unless it keeps up. Catch 22 for me :headbang: it's a good laugh, but I don't have the funds atm to keep upping the Escort's power. Ł2k on turbo and a remap for 40bhp is not worth it imo.

Steve, just fix it so it's workin properly and enjoy it for what it is, a bloody quick car.
It's not often you come up against a faster car, and no matter how fast it is, there's always something bigger/better/faster out there.
Kirsty was just drivin behind me through dorking, damn her bms loud lol

Stu, you know what it's like down the mile, everyone has to have the fastest car when I took the Escort out after fixing the driveshaft, etc she felt proper quick. Then I found the missfire and she hasn't felt as quick since. Getting bored repairing it now

pepa, we are quite close to Dorking. What car you got?

Im just SO confident if I had a clear run in mine it would have been in the 10s, I know yours is less power but its lighter too, I really dont see why you cant manage that!
Honestly!

Lol, I know EXACTLY what you mean!

Mine is totally different now to in that video as well just to mean its really back to square one for me, as ive changed to totally different mchperson strut setup on the back with different tiebar locations and different bottom arms etc, so the rear steering reacts totally different now (have all but eliminated it), and ive added loads more caster on the front too which alters the feel as well.

I love it though, cant drive it without smiling my tits off, its hiliarious!

Cheers stu, it has taken it's time but been worth it.
I still need to get my chip back to you for an adjustment and closed loop, but it's been spend spend spend gettin it sorted and running properly.
Nearly there, then I can send it back lol.

I went out In it earlier, it's wicked, 3rd gear going along, plant the throttle and it faces the pavement going up the road very quickly lol. and with the antilag on it's even more nutty.
