Cheers everyone. she's just woke up there, sobbing her little heart out, said 'dad, it really realy hurts', there's nowt i can do either, thats the worst bit. doc said she isnt allowed to walk on it, or put any weight on it, which is difficult for her to understand

As far as how it happened, she landed funny mate, she was bouncing away happy as larry, next thing, she screams, and she's laid out on it.

Exactally mate, i made sure it was about the safest one we could find, so there was no chance of getting hurt on it, like i said, its safe as houses, you couldnt hurt yourself on any part of the actual trampoline if you tried. we have had it a good 8 month, she plays on it pretty much everyday, never had so much as a scratch, so its defo caught me off guard, thats why when wor lass text me saying she had hurt her self on it, i got into a false sense of security and thought, 'na, it will be nowt', how wrong i was.

Sympathies for you and the wean - not being able to help is the worst thing.
I'm feeling pretty sorry for myself at the moment though, because on the first excursion day off the cruise ship I slipped on a jetty and have broken three bones in my left ankle, including both the long-bones.
Taken to Jamaica overnight and operated on the following evening, then two nights in hospital before discharging me to a local hotel that wasn't at all disabled-friendly where I was stuck for three more nights.
Repatriated via USA where we had a 7.5hour delay (thank you Icelandic volcano), before arriving in Manchester at 2.30 yesterday afternoon and driving 4.5 hours home.
Saw the doc this am and have to go to hospital tomorrow am - she wants to sign me off for 2 months but I'll go mad!!! Think kids will heal quicker though.

Bit of an update, just spent the last two hours back at the hospital. she had to go to the fracture clinic today to get it looked at by the specilaist, last night was just A&E, so all they could do was X-RAY it to check it, and put on a tempory cast. the specialist today showed us the X-RAY on a computer, its a big old break, he said he is surprised the bone didnt break the skin, and also said its, in his words, a very bad break. said she is going to have to have it in plaster for at least 8 weeks, and cant put any weight on it at all in that time. said she is going to need a wheelchair with a leg extension to get around for the 8 weeks, so i said can we have one, he says no, we dont supply them you will have to go to the red cross and hire one, so that was 20 mile drive and Ł20 to hire it per month. she has to go back once a week for an X-RAY to see how it is healing, so looks like its going to be an interesting couple of months lol.
She kicked up a fuss for a pink cast, but they only had green or white, so she went with green

She's 4 mate. ive got three older daughters, aged 6, 9 and almost 11. there always on it, not all at the same obviously, but as i said above, it gets used pretty much every day, and the 8 months we have had it, non of them have even got a scratch.

Can't wrap them in cotton wool though eh? I could probably deal with the fact they'd hurt there selves but the thought of them being in pain and asking me to help them and the fact there'd be nothing i could do would make me feel shit and drive me mad, All the best to her mate
