Default holy f*****g christ

my 5 is fast lol

i had it on the rollers last year and it made 380bhp, 360lbs
since then ive gone from a bd10 ex cam, and bad timing, to a std ex cam, properly timed up, and fixed my leaky wastegate.
it never felt like the power it made on the rollers and now its got to be miles past that.

this has to be the first time ever its been running 100% and god damn!!!!!!!

ive been in and driven some fast cars but this takes the biscuit.

i have played with other fast cars in the past while in my 5 and done pretty well. now i expect to just fuck off from them. lol

i have just fitted a new wastegate assembly to my t34 and the difference is unreal.

its now instantly on boost and goes to 2bar and sits there.
first time i floored it i was in 3rd and just went sidways.

now 1st gear is hard, 2nd gear is lots of wheelspin but scrambles for grip and goes, 3rd is just plain silly, all grip and tears off. 4th... clutch slip. lol

im am soooo happy. its taken me a long long time to get here, but now i am.
its sooo worth it.

passenger seats going back in tomorow.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggTQjWClbb4
theres a vid from last year, running against a 497bhp escos.
and i really cannot believe the difference between then and now. how much faster it is off the lights im not sure, might have to manage the boost somehow now, lower it in 1st maybe.

i have also almost sorted my gearchange issues meaning i can change gear a lot quicker and smoother. resulting in a much faster get away. lol

Should think its mental.

Even on my low boost setting of 457bhp my nova was nuts, on the high boost which was another 100bhp or so (dont know exact figure as didnt have it on the rollers) it was quicker than most bikes ive ridden!

You should be doing 10s im sure.

0bhp its got no engine in it at the moment, it cracked the block when I was running 2.1 bar

In a month or so though I will hopefully be running 450+ again (what it made on low boost of 1.55 bar last time was enough so is all im aiming for this time)
This is the new engine:

Trying to do it on the cheap this time as I earn a lot less money than when I started the last engine build, so im using a standard saab engine and a massive turbo and going to see what happens

Cheers for all the comments guys, it's been a long time coming,
but doing it all at home in a tiny garage with halfrauds hand tools on a limited budget with limited knowledge isn't a quick way to do a build like this. Lol and hardly professional chip lol.

dan, I probably will mate, might find a runway for passenger rides.

Steve, I won't beat any1 off the lights now, too much wheelspin and clutch slip now. Lol
need a new centreplate and a proper diff now but I'm skint so they gotta wait.
But the power and in gear speed is night and day different.
Did u know damiens got the legacy back now, running it in at the mo so a couple of weeks and he'll b ready, and adrians got a new gearbox and a tubular manifold and gt28 for the nova.
And rays built a new engine for the Capri, 7.0l now and should b about 800bhp, will have to get the skyline out aswell.

Chip wait about a month to come up the mile, then we should all b out.

STD Renault 21 box with an open diff lmao
I want a quaife atb but i'm too scared to buy an £800 diff then break the box, cos it's on it's limit.
Plus I don't have clutch money let alone diff money lol.
At the end of the year I'm going to do my gearbox and clutch, better start saving now.

Mine actually drove ok on the standard diff TBH (I used to run one before I fitted a quaiffe)
VX220 turbos dont have a diff either, makes for really safe handling TBH as if you give it too much beans mid corner you just spin all the power away on the inside wheel.
I love the lairiness of mine with the diff in it though, as it means I can light both rear wheels up on demand

Yeah it would be a pain to buy one then need to change to an audi box or something and need to buy one again!

What gearbox you going to move to?
