Default N97 setup help needed!

Im trying to set up my N97 to do a couple of things.

Firstly ive upgraded the burglar alarm to send texts if house broke in.

What i want to do is set up template text messages with the control codes all set up with the number for the sim pre programmed! I cant seem to find a way to do this!! I want to be able to save the templates so i just click on it, push send and the messages go. It would be really nice if i could make it have a hotlink button on the main screen like you can for apps.

Also i want to set up a custom theme. Most of the time i use a silent theme which only uses vibrate to alert texts and calls. This suits me because of meetings, the work i do with clients etc. BUT what i want to do is set up a custom theme where all calls are silent EXCEPT one contact, ie the house alarm number. That way i only get disturbed by the only important contact i have. Ive tried changing the theme settings but cant do that for one call only.

Does anyone know a way round this??? Seems a bit shit that you cant do custom themes easily on these modern smart phones.

Oh and "get an iphone" or gay comments like that arent exactly helpful either

So if you're at work, and the 'alarm alarm' goes off, what would you do? Get the bus home and find a thief armed to the teeth with all your weaponry?

I work 5 minutes walk, or 1 minutes drive from work and I usually have some appropriate "improvised offensive weapons" in the car

I dont leave anything too dangerous in a usable state at home when im not in anyway.

On a regular N97 (may also work on a mini) go into "Messaging" and then scroll down to "My folders" in there you'll find another folder called "Templates" which contains 10 pre-written templates for various purposes, all of these are editable so you can either create a new one with your desired alarm codes on it or edit over an old one your not likely to use. Once it's done it'll save in there and went you want to use it you just simply choose send and pick the number from your contacts..

Not sure about the alert tone thing, I'll have a go on mine and let you know.

and you think the police actually respond to these things quickly?? most private residences cant get the police connected anyway, its just a security management company who send a security guard in a car. Yeah a lot of good that will do.

Anyway thats not the original question im asking!!

Christ, fussy bastard ain't ya

You could always type out a message with the contact included and then save it to your drafts so it's ready to go as an when you need it? I can't see any other way round it, unless you set your alarm gsm number as one of your favourites, that way it will appear at the top of your contacts list so you don't have to fuck about scrolling down or whatever?

As for the Theme/Profile thingy your after what you need to do is go into your contacts and click on the picture of the three little men (Groups page). Create a new group called Wazza's WMD or whatever you want to call it and then add your alarms number in as a contact.

You then need to go into "settings" followed by "profiles" and then click onto the "options" menu bottom left and create a new profile.

Then it's all pretty straight forward from there in

- Set ringing tone to Off.
- Ringing type to ringing.
- Volume up full.
- Message alert tone to your desired tone.
- Keytones turned Off.
- Vibrating alert On.
- Video call tone Off.
- E-mail alert tone Off.
- Warning tones On.
- Caller's name On.
- 3D Tones Off.
- Whatever you want for the next 2.
- ALERT FOR This is the most important one, insert the group you created earlier here and make sure "All" is un-ticked.
- Name your Profile.

Job done, you can try it with another phone beforehand if you like to make sure it works, I've just done it though and both calls and texts from any numbers other than my Bro's vibrate where as his has a tone.
