Default renault imobiliser problems

the good old comon renault imob problems, i believe extremely common, have a 1995 espace thats turnsand fires but dies instantly, normally its cause the immob has cut in, so ya press the keyfob to lock and unlock the doors .... restart and the car runs

but this fooker doesnt

i presume its a cut off to the fuel pump? anyone know how to disable / bypass?

if i remember correctly the immobiliser unit is the item that plays up, it cuts fuel supply via ecu.

not sure about wiring round it to be honest, maybe best to try aned source 2nd hand immob unit and a key fob-the metal key blade off your old key screws to it to make it look original.

Check the end of ya indicator stalk. On the old clios, there is a button so that you can disable the factory immobiliser. Have a look in the handbook..if there is, it will tell you in there & how to input the code. You will have to speak nicely to the Renault goons tho for them to give you the code in the first place.

I thought that 99% of the time renaults were immobilised due to the engines being fooked?? (yes, I have had a 19 16v, never again what a shite car, french cars are poo )

Try dudley renault spares, not got the number to hand but speak to dean or lee, they are shit hot on them and dead helpful

hmmn but surely theres a way to bypass, ive heard the ariel in the roof can leak water onto the circuit directly below that houses the remote sensor

if the central locking is working off fob though that isnt the problem.

i suppose its feasible to re wire the live to fuel pump to an ignition switched live.

it is the pump it immobilises, thats why the engine starts on cranking but once you release key thinking its started the pump stops and fuel pressure drops hence it stalls after a secondish.
i'm sure it doesnt cut spark as well, only thing you can try is live wire the pump first see if it runs.
