will mk2 cossie fuel sender work on mk1 cossie

As title suggests. i have the chance to buy a mk 2 sierra cossie fuel sender but i have a mk1 sierra cossie. Does anyone know if it will fit and work the same??????

whats a mk2 sierra cossie? Are you on about the saph?
