Default Mk4 escort van lowering

hi there was just seeing if any 1 nos how to lower the back end of an escort van mk 4 its such a pain in the arse as iv tryed sitting it on top of the axle and it has no location argh please help!!!

grind off the welds on the axel brackets weld them to the other side of the axel then it bolts on top of the springs. i lowered the damper mount on the axel on mine so it didnt lose all its travel.

on my mk 6 van it's a bolt so i turned it round

Get the springs de-cambered (pressed) that way it wont sit on the bump stops.

was thinking getting them de camberd but i use it every day so needs to be done quick lol on my mk 4 van its a pin welded in the spring so i cant turn it around

If you can find a good lorry servicing place local to you i dont think you can really do better than this option. Allows lots of clearance with the exhaust and it wont crash out on the bump stops.

errrm i work 4 iveco trucks just a bit worring putting them in a press a pushing 30 ton on then lol its knowing how far to go

think ive got 20mm lowering springs on the front running 17s though

does it sit level as im gona put beam ontop of the leaf spring and wondered how much to lower to make it level and im going to be putting 16" alloys on

i did mine similar to above but rather than useing u bolts i used straight bolts & made a plate to ge underneath with a hole in the centre for the locator peg to stop it all from moveing
