Action day at combe this weekend, anyone here go?

yeh had a few issues on the day, looks like the smoking was a slight oil drip on the exhaust manifold from the turbo oil drain so fingers crossed nothing long lasting
the problem with the speed was due to the exhuast manifold, i got my new manifold recently and the boost control settings are totally different for this manifold
took it out for the first session and it was suring at part throttle (50% throttle was 1.9 bar ) and it was overboosting at 2.3 bar and there was just no time to change the settings so i decided to run it on .9 bar so just under 300bhp, managed a 1:23 in traffic after i span to catch back up with chip
got some really wierd handling atm it seams to get very very light on the back end, got sent a picture tonight that might expain a thing or 2
i think it needs to be a little stiffer on the front end LOL

I think it was because i've seen it before and know it's got some proper power that it looked too slow to be running full chat, the lack of boost explains that lol and 1.23 out there is good as there's always loads of traffic!
It looked a little high on the back perhaps, not that i know anything about how to make a mk2 astra handle, just looked like it had its drag strip stance on?!

the extra height at the back is likely to slightly effect rear end body roll (effectively it gives the weight back there more leverage against the rear end roll resistance of the car), so from that point of view im sure its worth lowering it.
More front end stiffness is key though I think.
1:23 in traffic on low boost kind of implies its handling better than you are giving it credit for though

Was there I'm my ph1 172. Not the first track day I've ever been on but the first where I decided I wanted to get quicker and better.
Had a real fun day Chip, your Clio is rapido!
