Default Why are cossies so shit!!!

Went to the rollers to get it set up today and it was fine on the rollers.. except it wouldn't hold boost and only made 360bhp.

But when i left it started missing and played up all the way home. Changed plugs leads cap and rotor still toss. revs fine at a stand still but kangaroos like mad when driving!!!!

It piss's me off when people moan how shit these cars are when really there excellent when serviced/looked after . so less of the "shit , dont say anything atall bollox.

Didn't care what power it made as long as it was safe which it was and ran crisp. Just 1 of them things that 1 mile down the road it starts messing about don't think its anything to do with the set up. Just anoying as i want it running well for sunday.

these cars are very complex, they are not a car that can be worked on by any tom dick or harry. leave it to the profesionals. even some of the profesionals arn't very profesional. the cars arn't shit. but some of the parts fitted are.

serious????????

Mapping is the only complex part of a cossie, its a Sierra, with a modified pinto pig iron engine. Mapping is complex on most engines and is really only a Proffesionals job but jesus most cossies dont have Lambda control, cats, coil packs etc

If a mechanic cannot work on a cosworth, he shouldnt be a mechanic

Sadly being a 'true mechanic' doesn't mean you know it all either or can be trusted to do a good job

Cosworths aren't exactly shit, but can be a bloody pain in the arse when it comes to fault finding for simple problems
