i've just got back, it was a bit wet this morning but dried out this afternoon, bin watching my mate in his evo 6.5, that sierra was defininately quick, felt sorry for the front wheel drive cars tho, they just couldn't get any traction, pretty good day tho after it'd stopped raining

 

it dosent weigh a lot & it has the wheels & tyres off the mk3 on at the mo as its in bits

Well this must be the first year for many years i havent been to York for minis vs beetles, i seem to remember lining up in my old PF feature saff and the racing stopped and the announcer says "lets see how this big power cosworth does against a 1600cc beetle, i shat myself and got spanked big style, he was banging off the limmiter and crossed at 94mph terminal and i was 112 and still lost by over a second LOL!

due to living in essex im miles away and its not that appealing to drive 285miles with the wind howling!

 

sean, beetles vs mini is on about 372 times a year there

 

easter bank holiday weekend man, hungover to fuck, freezing cold and beetles with loud as fuck stinger pipes smashing my ears to bits, what could be better?!

when i was into cossies i always got rolling first but with Audis, rev it as hard as you can then go........ even my A4 with the 2.5tdi would launch off the line at 4600rpm flat out in 2nd and smash the clutch out and launch forward so hard it was unreal, do that with any of my old fords and bye bye engine mount and shaft/sump etc lol

nah mate, it went to Ireland about 6 or 7 months ago, i fear to be broken for spares due to the massive spec

i still have all the pics as i loved the car to bits :'( but i hated it every time i drove it as i was so shit scared it was gonna break down, snap clutch cables or throw the fan belts off yet again.........
i will have another one but only once my wounds have healed!
i always wanted the looks of a saff with the awesome reliability of Audi running gear, so we will see what happens..... watch this space

Saff with audi running gear? sounds like fun.Yeh its been spot on.I got all the body work done last year and got a full respray.Its been in my dads garage over winter.I got it out a few weeks ago.Its been a good car for the last 2 years lol.

The Audi S2 6 speed gearbox can take upto 700hp, most of the drag cars you see abroad just use the stock gearbox, they are proper ! If you ever need anything like that drop me a PM

useing big CC Audi AAT 2.6 block, 278 cams................. am not an amateur audi tuner, i have customers paying very good money for me to build cars

Not all audi S2 boxes can take 700bhp, most early 6sp items shit themselves at the slightest glimpse of 500bhp and centre diffs explode with the most excelent noises known to man.
