People will tell you the frs won't idle right with an atmospheric dvalve but mine came with a bailey fitted and it's fine. If you disconnect the battery after fitting the car "learns" as you drive and the stalling at junctions stops.

I since removed mine though.

Do you want the noise or not? Recirc you can hear still on an FRS if you have a kn cone.

Recirc wont give you the noise without a kn gen 2 cone.

If i wanted a dvalve i'd buy the noisiest one

I'm not generally a fan of bailey pistons. I prefer a diaphragm valve and hence removed it from the focus.

When the atmospheric dumps on an frs the engine doesn't "see" the air return and pops in more fuel. This can creats some interesting pops and bangs when backing off the throttle after some leather.

I tried a forge twin piston on my car as i prefer the noise to the bailey. However the forge dumps at even a sniff of boost and was CONSTANTLY going off

FRS comes on boost very easily.

Very true, but if the lad wants noise, then that's what he'll get with the Forge, good quality proven kit too.

But a dump valve is pretty much a dump valve, they aren't rocket science, as long as you get the correct type to keep the car ticking over etc, then there isn't much to choose between them apart from the sound if you just want to vent to atmosphere.

This if the Forge equivalent to link number 3 on your post.

You'd also need some kind of fitting kit I presume, not too sure on exactly how the standard re-circ is plumbed into a Focus RS engine, but I'm sure someone will be along soon who knows them inside out.
