wrong. in simple terms it needs to be hot to combust
i suspect that you are getting confused by the term 'compression ignition' engine, but that just means that the compression process increases the temperature of the diesel/air mix until it ignites, but it's the temperature that does it, not the pressure.

also it could jump into gear accidently if you have a child or pet in the car and they knock the lever and make it drive off and rip the pump line out the pump
etc etc
just generally speaking something is more likely to go wrong with the engine running than not
