Default Do you think i am right? ALSO OIL CHANGE QUESTION

......for deciding to keep the 107 as my daily driver for mundane stuff? I got it for a bargain, does at best 68mpg and road tax is £35 a year. Doin my sums and this will save me a lot of money weekly! Plus seats down and space aint bad got 4 x 17inch audi wheels in it quite comfortably!

The trouble is its citrus yellowYes i know i want that look at meeeeeeee type of car but come on surely its goin be even more of a look at that cunt scenario? Can i handle this? Maybe a sticker saying my other cars a non yellow car? or maybe this is in sympathy for Chip?

So now the technical bit....its due a service in april, now its just had an mot so thats a good check over, last inspection was last november, last service was last april...brake fluid is due next april...as we service our fleet at our company i am gonna do it, it looks like oil change/air filter, now air filter will be done but oil change, surely not needed at the car has only covered 2000 miles since last change and it looks like new? Dont worry about it? Book will be stamped in anycase. What would you do guys?

Ideal town centre run around IMHO, easy to park, economical, you're more or less speed camera proof too, with 14 odd seconds 0-60 IIRC

Wont do any harm to change the oil early, and at least you know its done then.

..just worked it out, i will save £60 a week by using this car over the others So in 2 years thats £6240 less £100 for mot's and say £100 servicing and £70 tax = £5970 saving, plus less depriciation on the fun cars kept lower milege, better condition. Car cost me 4k so i will be £1970 up + car will be worth what £3000 retail by then will only have about 25k miles so will be £4970 better off...motoring for a profit...i like, i honestly never looked at life like this before

Cheap motoring rocks.

I worked out for my audi TDI, it cost me 17,000 quid to do 100K miles over a 2 year period including all costs, if I had bought the S4 estate instead which I was considering, it would have cost me 43K for the same period and milage, which would have meant me being 26K poorer over the 2 year period, which would have been literally ALL my disposable income gone, just to sit in essentially the same car with the cruise control still set to the same speed

Chip these tablets must be working as i have never calculated anything before I mean i am not even concerned about the type of car as my daily stuff is chores so its a total waste on the supercars! This thing has air con and electric windows and remote centrol locking and a cd player what more do i need (except looks ) Plus my license should stay cleaner!..Fun cars for sunny posing days only Cant imagine how much money i have lost over the years by not doin this , ok if i was out cruising then worth it, but not just to do chores FFS!

Yeah the exhaust is a bit tedious, but it will sound silent to you once you are used to the tubi on the m5

Good thing about crappy slow little daily drivers too is that when you get back in the M5 you will really appreciate the power, then when you get back in the 107 you will really appreciate the ease of parking and the economy, so both car is pleasing in a different way

You don't know Phil very well if you think he's going to last two weeks.

I had one of these as a courtesy car for a month or so and it was brilliant on fuel, the most economical car ive ever seen. It wasnt even that bad for overtaking for such a tiny engine.

Having said that i hated everything else about it, i have never seen such a cheap interior, it made the old ka look like a pimp-mobile. The banter from mates was pretty funny though, it is one of the campest cars ive seen, i did say at the time that the only way it could be worse was if it were pink or yellow, sorry!

Overall if you can handle the complete shitness of its appearance then it will save you a fortune, but it is the modern day fiat cinqcento

aye not far off, im 26, my point was that they seem to be driven by a similar peer group, those after a small economical car who arent concerned with how it looks. I have never met Phil but from reading his other posts he has quite a few nice cars and I think he'l get tired of this car pretty quickly, i certainly did and I dont have any nice cars.

I spelt cinquecento wrong tho but i was thinking of the modern equivalent of this

i was just making the point that you must be young to say the 'modern equivalent' of a late 90's car, as to some of us, a late 90's car is modern we would think of the original 1957 - 1975 fiat 500
