Car Stolen in Coventry - Vauxsport Blue Corsa XE on TB's - Reward
Copy of his post from VauxSport:
Our trackcar has been stolen of our drive last night. must have been someone that wanted it for bits as the car does not run so must have been trailered off.
here are some recent pics of the car
the car has been stolen from Tile Hill Lane, Tile Hill, Coventry.
i am totally gutted as is my brother so any help or information would be very much appreciated.
and if people can spread this over other forums that i am not a member of to help that would be very much appreciated
if anyone find it or knows of who has it then then there will be a substantial reward to get it back

Please me let me know if you hear anything about it, the lad is quite prepared to buy it back off whoever nicked it if he has to, he doesnt care about anything other than getting his car back right now.

Thanks mate, we're obviously realistic that its not just going to be randomly found somewhere, but hopefully the fact he is prepared to put his hand in his pocket to get it back might help.
I notice you are from birmingham, so if you use any local car forums for the midlands could you do me a favour and copy it onto there.

Him and his brother have spent so much time and effort on it (not that much money, its not a massive spec car, probably only cost them 4K ish in total) to build it, and they just want it back, so if they have to pay a grand to get it, which is all the theives are likely to make selling bits on the hurry up, then its better than not getting it back, even though it means putting money in these cunts pockets to do so.

Thanks mate.
Wasnt an opportunist, someone planned it, so maybe someone has heard something about it, as it was up on ramps and has no ECU or wiring on it for the engine at the moment as he only just fitted the bodies and is waiting for an Mtech V4 which we've ordered for it.
So it would have been a case of having to get it down off the ramps, break the steering lock, push it out onto the road, then rope / dolly / trailer it up the road.

Gutted to see this has been stolen, if its the one i'm thinking of I remember seeing its progress on Mig when I was a daily user of the forum.
I take it that its DaveB's one? Been a while since I used Mig.
Best of luck getting it back, i'll keep my eyes open down this way incase anything turns up.

Thanks, the more people keeping an ear out the better!
They are quite an unusual TB setup as well due to the shape of the manifold and the very shallow depth of the TB's themselves, so relatively easy to spot, although thinking they are yours and proving it are two different things of course!
