Default Any Ford Employees On Here?

The new(ish) Semi-Auto aka 5-tronic gearshift on the Mondies? Is it any good?

ST TDCi
Brief spec..........
2.2-litre 155 PS TDCi diesel engine delivering 400Nm** of torque
Max speed - 137 MPH
0-62 MPH - 8.7 seconds
Combined F/E - 46.3 MPG
CO2 - 161 g/km
Euro emissions stage - III
Partial leather sport seats (black Recaros optional)
Sports styling kit and unique sports suspension
7 x 18" 16-spoke alloy wheels

Ghia X Interior

Ghia X Exterior

Whats the gear change like? Smooth or neck braking?

Is it a 4, 5 or 6 speed box like the manual?

Its ‘next-generation’ ATCU Control Unit allows it to select from 11 distinct operational modes in foreseeing what a manual driver would do in different circumstances.

Modes include ‘auto-sport’, ‘mountain’ and ‘downhill’, ‘cold’ and ‘hot’ mode where it monitors its own operating temperature and enters cooling mode above 120C, and ‘stop and go’, where stress in urban conditions is minimised by the selection of 2nd gear instead of first in stop-start traffic for a less jerky operation.

With the Durashift 5-tronic, the driver can switch between automatic and manual mode at any time and at speed.
Sounds quite good to me!!
