Default AA warranty....any good?

I was going to buy the AA warranty Gold cover for the wifes car so when i was away they could fix it and she wouldnt need to worry about it. Anyone had any problems with them or the cover, sounds pretty good, 39 quid and they will pretty much fix anything on it. thats 39 quid a month for tehir best cover and you can cancel anytime with 30 days notice......

what do ya think.

Avoid like the plague. I had an AA warranty on a car I bought. A few things went wrong with it and they wriggled out of every single claim. You'd be better off betting that £39 on Kosman not wanting to bum something!

As a general rule on car warrenties, I find that the dealer warrenty is the only viable option when you buy a new car etc.
The other warrenty companies such as the AA tend to riggle out of every claim possible.

Surely when you buy the best option, ie gold cover, that they say covers pretty much everything they dont really have much option????

AA warrantys are amazing, its how you do the claim that counts, we have done loads for customers and they have always paid out no problem, even for diognostic work, once we have completed the work takes about 2 weeks for payment

just check the amount they pay in labour charges, i know the gf got RAC warrenty with her old 206 before i met her 5yrs ago, when she came to claim for something it turned out they would only pay a labour charge of £40 PH or something stupid, even back then u wouldnt find a garage charging that much lol.
