Default i thought automatic diallers were illegal???

i have just been called by vodafone, told them i wasnt interested and i dont want to be contacted, always tick the box for no special offers etc and am on the preference service etc. He said they were the provider so it doesnbt matter and it was an automatic dialer so they cant stop it.

what the f**k!!!

surely auto dialers are illegal, i was sure they were in the states....not here????

Tell them you're registered with the TPS and will be reporting them. They'll shit bricks, and probably hang up.

Is your contract with Vodafone?

If it is, I doubt TPS will have any interest as the call isn't unsolicited, you have a contract with them? Whether you ticked the box or not.

TPS have apparently never successfully fined a company anyway, they just pass the details on to other official complaints places. It's worth being with them but if you really want to do a Dojj, get onto OFCOM.

after 6 years of managing from just my mobile phone i decided to get a bt line put in at my unit.cost me Ł100 for them to put a line and every time my phone rings its a company either trying to tell me im on the wrong electric tarrif because im a new business and i should go with them, accountacy firms offering their services,or some type of advertising offered.........i would honestly say that 90% of calls are shit ones-and everyone still rings me on my mobile anyway!!!
im that sick of it ive told bt to stuff the phone up their arse-but they have got me tied in to a 12 month contract, and just keep sending me bills.

Yes, for a while. They start coming back after a year or so and you have to re-register.

They can get around this simply re routing call through another call exchange in another country as TPS has zero control over anything originating out side the uk.

answer the phone
when they say they are from some bullshit company either:
ask who they want to speak to and then say they are having a shit/wank/cremated/abroad
tell them to hang on and then carry on with business as usual
out the phone down
