As already discussed some crazy speeds at Brunters this weekend however something equally crazy also happened with a Porsche and top speed runs but this time in Florida yesterday.
Standing start, 1 mile to the timing beams. And the chap managed 236.7mph in a narrow body 964 with an air cooled, 2 valve, twin turbo engine. You have to hand it to the bloke, that really is staggering!

The yanks aren't he best at getting pics up on the web quickly but what I can say which i'm still struggling to get my head around is the fastest car of the day (also setting a new world record) was a Ford GT with 1800bhp pulling 252.97mph in the mile.
