Hello folks, does anyone out there run an lpg converted car? Do you know how much more economical it is and what mpg you now get.
Ive been wondering about the idea of getting one for a while now. I currently run an audi a4 tdi 130 which is superb and nevers misses a beat but i do 600+ miles a week, to work and back is 550 miles on its own so i think lpg would be a good option for me. im looking at something big and comfortable such as a volvo xc90 or an x5, but im not sure if i would actually be any better off with lpg in such a big engine/car.
So any tips or ideas of your experiences would be really usefull.
Thanks,
Muffster.

I had a LPG xr4i, much better on lpg than petrol(and faster), assume it must be due to the hopeless siamese ported std heads, I had a Tartarini tech 97 with a wolf n 3d spark advance unit, running massive advance on lpg, 110 litre tank in rear got around 28mpg on lpg and around 22mpg on petrol, was filling up at a mates(pig) farm where lpg used for heating so was 23p a litre(a few years ago, maybe 6?).
