here i have for sale my gas guzzlin touring.
it is a lpg converted 4.0 litre bmw 540i.v5c classes it as dual fuel.it has mot till july o8 and tax till the end of march 08.
it has been convert to run on gas by cargas in heron cross, stoke on trent.i was very impressed in the install they did on my e39 540 that i bought this touring and asked them to convert this.
it has a 66 litre full toridal wheel well mounted stako tank.it comes with the installation certificate and has just had it`s first service, which it passed with flying colours.the engine is the awesome 4.0 litre v8,it is awesome in its performance and pulls like a freight train when needed.
it has a full twin pipe stainless steel exhaust system (2 1/2") custom made about 4 monhs ago, cost me over £600.
it has a new set of angel eye head lights,£160
hid xenon head light bulb conversion kit (nice and bright) £87
apexi induction kit,the best air filters in the world.£65
rear parking sensors and dash mounted display (aftermarket).£35
2 new cats fitted just over a year ago for the tune of 1000 pounds.
full oil service in march using fuchs titan supersyn sl 5w-40 oil and genuine bmw oil filter,£100
new bmw fuel filter
new ngk laser platinum sprkplugs
2 new goodyear eagle f1 235/45/17 rear tyres under 2000 miles ago,£230
towbar and electrics fitted
e34 m5 throwing star alloys fitted
rear load cover
rubber boot floor covering
dog nets fitting into the back of the rear seats
grey leather interior
air con re-gassed 2 months ago,icy cold,£45
new front m-tec shock absorbers fitted in march,£120
all new inlet manifold and crankcase breather seals and o rings fitted (bmw),£65
anti-freeze changed in march
brake fluid changed in march
service and inspection lights were reset in march, they all work
a folder with all receipts from new totalling over £12,000
part bmw history
i use it to travel to work everyday doing a 50 mile round trip, mainly b roads and few miles motorway.from stone cold it turns to lpg after about 1.5 miles then runs solely on lpg.so i don`t use much petrol at all ,when it`s warm it changes over almost straight away. my miles per gallon are 17.57.for a heavy auto tank with near on 300bhp it`s great
a litre of lpg around here is 51,9p which works out at 3.86 miles per litre.
just like running a family sized car
that 17.1 mpg is with lpg prices, converted into petrol prices it is 39.9mpg. convinced?
it has never failed to get me to my destination, always starts first turn of the key, everytime
Not so good bits
in it`s past it has had a slight knock on the offside rear corner,i had it checked out at a body shop and it isn`t strutual, only cosmetic,it has been repaired and painted, but you can see in the photo where they sprayed upto.it is something that has never troubled me,i only look forward when driving.it adds to the sleeper image
the rear bumper also has small damage on the offside rear corner, and the parking sensors could of been fitted better, they work fine though.
i will be saddened to see it go but i have just split up from my partner and don`t need 2 cars now.
i have tried to explain all it`s faults and good points,i am more than happy for an inspection to carried out BEFORE bidding.
as you can see it has had alot of money spent on it in the years,it will carry on going for a long time yet.
there is a reserve on the car,it doesn`t come close to what i spent on it in the last 8 months or so.
thanks for taking the time to read my add
