this is a beautiful looking car and is finished in a great colour combination,

STUNNING CALYPSO RED METALLIC,WITH FULL LIGHT GREY

MONTANA LEATHER TRIM and walnut burr dash and door card trims.The

specification is matched only by the performance,which is frankly nothing short of

phenomenal.For those of you that have not experienced it,acceleration on these is

truly breathtaking.It is one of the few cars that will actually gently ease you back in

your seat as it climbs to practically three figures,in fact nearly 100mph in not much

more than 11 seconds! The 4.4 litre really does give practically the SAME economy

as the smaller 3,3.5 and 4 litre variants,and yet the performance off the 4.4 is

frankly on a different planet TOTALLY to the others! That is simply why the 540

is in such demand!!

The phenomenal spec also includes some loverly upgrades,like the XENON lights,

factory fitted ALPINA spoiler and 18" ALPINA alloy wheels,Electric rear blind and

rear side window blindsets,as well as a host of other refinements which include

dual zone climate control.Electric 3 position memory SPORTS seats,Glass

sunroof,Tinted windows,great in the summer as they help to keep the car cool.

Electric steering column,Folding mirrors,Rear Park Sensors,Built in phone (all

hands free using the steering wheel).Auto tinting rear view mirror,The multifunction steering

turn the cruise control on/off)



There is a ZAVOLI LPG system fitted on the 17/6/05,It has

a 90 litre tank across ways in the boot,There is still plenty off room in the boot for

shopping etc.The car changes over to lpg at 41 degress (so you don`t have to do

anything).It still starts on petrol but once it hits that tempreture it goes onto lpg.

LPG being at 51p a litre around here it has better economy than my dads Citroen

Berlingo.I usally get around 310-350 miles from a tank off gass,all for about £47.



Full steptronic automatic gearbox.The adaptive tiptronic gearbox with sport and

manual mode is just fabulous to use,it alters the way the car changes gear in

the most subtle of ways to give the most comfortable,economic and safe ride.

For example,when travelling downhill,particularly if you just touch the brakes,

the gearbox will automatically change down a gear,it`s so slight and seamless

one does not even notice,but it does so,to provide more control.Also in a traffic

jam for example,where the car senses it is just moving forward slowly a foot or

so and stopping,it will automatically start to pull away in sacond gear,providing

a smoother start,and better economy.Obviously if one then accelerated hard it

would immediately engage first gear for a faster acceleration.

as you can see it has been well looked after,in 20,000 miles i have owned it (3 years) it has never let me down or failed to start.

does NOT use any oil or water.rear tyres been on for about 3000 miles,1 front 1 for about 1000,other 1 has about 3 mm left and a BRAND NEW goodyear eagle f1 will be supplied with the car.



NOT SO GOOD POINTS.



the air con fans are missing.never bothered me really as the tinted windows keep it cool inside.

the auto sensoring rain sensor has stopped working although works fine in manual (normal) mode

the alpina alloys require a refurb,i have been quoted about £35 a rim to do.

alpina centre covers have a hole in to see the ultra seal tyre pressure valve caps.

there is a very slight crack to the front bumber under the nearside front indicator,about 15mm long.

slight pixelation on dash display, (only happened recently in this cold weather)











i have described the car as honestly as i can and i welcome any questions aout the car.



IT IS A TRUELY SUPER CAR IN EVERYWAY.
