Been in my job for just over 4 months now and over the last 3 weeks I have been really unhappy there!!

Why can't i find a job i can actually enjoy!!!!!

Is there anyone who actually enjoys their job?? If so what do you do??

And does anyone know of any jobs available i might be interested in?? I'm an administrator but will try anything if I’m trained!! In London!

As Rob said Hayley just keep looking and trying different positions oops that didn't sound right did it one day you will find one your happy with i believe its easyer for a girl to find a job than it is a man especially if your very attractive .

I've had quite a few jobs in the motor trade and loved them all cause i'm interested in cars so why not get a job doing something that interests you?? at the minute i work for a private car trader who specialises in sports car and prestige stuff so i get to drive allsorts of powerful machinary and get paid to do it!

I am quite happy in my job. Network Administrator and also responsible for reconciling the fuel account each month for the haulage firm I work for. Very interesting and money is good for my age.

Wouldnt mind a role where I can progress a bit further but I enjoy knowing what I do makes a difference to the company, not just a number in a big corporation.

Sure you will find something soon, just keep looking and thinking and dont discount anything

pre known waiting time is not included in the 48 hour working directive ALOT of my time is spent waiting

overtime only makes up part of it. Basic is 26k for a 45 hour week. (nights)

dunno why more people dont get out there and do it

Not sure if i agree that it is easier for a woman to get a job then a bloke! I have an interest in cars to but can't see me getting a job in the car trade!!! Like you say GUS I can’t see me climbing about the scaffold either lol!!

Trace - Got this job only 5 months ago through a job agency there ok but they try a fob you off a bit once you have joined and will give all the crap that they can't get rid off!!! In my experience anyways lol!

I thought this job was ok at first! Its Accounts so it is getting really busy now! But i don't mind hard work!! I was suppose to get a decent pay rise in the new year when I didn't and m bonus was even worse and the training when I first started is non existent!! So far I have been pulled in the office for doing things wrong when that was the way i was shown how to do it!!!

Don't help at the mo coz I feel like I’m working for free coz I don't actually see any of my wages!

I love my job! and i came across it by complete mistake! Walked into a recruitment firm after walking out of this shit job i had before offered me a shonky Factory Job...and 8 years later i'm still there Lads who are work with are excellent and the manager is Petit long haired stunner Only downside is that i do shiftwork...I really don't mind it myself but other hate it with a passion.

I work night shift (22:00 -> 06:00) for a week then lates (14:00 -> 22:00) the week of earlies (06:00 -> 14:00) then a week off every month Have to do two 12 hour shifts...one on nights 6-6 and one on earlies 6-6.

so out of every 28 days i only work 15 and get paid a basic of 26k a year for it....Result!

Oh my god, you lot are probably going to think I have one of the best jobs in the world, but in reality believe me it's very very different.

I work onboard the "Love Boat"...... Seriously. I work for Princess Cruises onboard the love boat "Diamond Princess".... One of the largest Cruise Ships in the world, cruising the Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, and Alaska. Sounds great dosen't it, especially as I'm one of the Senior Officers onboard. Loads of totty, party's every night, Sun all year round.......That's what you think.

I work every day for four months, I start work at 5am every morning and finish work at 8pm every night. Saturday, Sunday's, they make no difference, it's just another working day. I get one afternoon off every month to get ashore, and an afternoon off means four hours off.

I take all the complaints that the punters (Mainly American) constantly complain about. I live in one of the best Officers Cabins onboard, But it's probably about the size of the average kitchen. I'm too knackered to go out partying after working for 14 hours everday. I'm expected to bow and scrape to every request the punters have. I'm expected to smile all the time, I'm expected to say good morning to every body. The pay is now crap (Due to the exchange rate) the hours are long, very long, and I do this for four months with no days off at all.

I have just four months left to do, and I qualify for my lump sum pension which is a joke..... That's after working for them for 12 years.

Then I'm starting up my own little buisiness.

Not all jobs are what they appear. And mine has got to be the best example of that.

I've only been full-time for 3/4 years i was a temp before then. To be quite honest i think i've probably got the easiest job out of all the people on the bb. Basically i make car paint (primer, top coats, pearls etc etc) i work for ICI Autocolor/PPG Refinish. I am in charge of a big 15000 litre mixer where the paint is made. Just imagine a huge food blender with some big arse blade on the middle...thats what i work on!....all i have to do is follow certain worksheets and it comes out paint at the bottom Have stuff like solvents/resins which all go in automatically... just type in how much of what and volia

You have a techinican there 24/7 so if something was to breakdown they are there to fix it!

O and did i mention we have a 90 minutes game of cards everyday! n thats only one break of two

my Advise Hayley would be goto a recruitment firm...If you don't like it they can find you another placement until you find something you enjoy!...I completely stumbled across my job as i was pushed over the edge by my old manager being an complete arsehole and always blaming me for mistakes i had fuck all to do with I got my own back by walking out the next day...All the tossers that fucked up all got the sack when they Manager actually saw it was them doing the cockups and not me. I was offered my old job back a few weeks later (By this time i was working again in the job i'm in now)...I told him to stick it up his fat arse n slammed the phone down.

As it happens i'm about to put my notice in tomorrow so u aint on your own hayley.... I like my job (cctv engineer) but the last couple of months have been shit I've been sent away on my own all over the country doing the job of 2 ppl and my first day back from xmas is tomorrow and i'm getting sent away again!!!

It was ok until they brought in a contracts manager who used to work for my old company and he's the reason everyone left that company

i was a yard manager in a biggish fencing yard for 3 and a half years and then last june one of the customers asked me to help him out for a week and then since then i ending up handing my notice in and have worked for him doing fencing and decking . i love it cos ever day/week is different and at the end of the day you have something to look back on and think ive just made that !! i feel proud of ever thingive doneand built!! its hard work especially with the weather at the mo but i wouldnt change it for any thing !!

As I said, it won't be HUGE CITY money,,,as its local work, but I'm on fooking excellant money for local work on my door step, (ooohhh and I got a lil rise today too )

The job intail will be alot of admin work, again you know this already, also working with the guys in the office to sot out their lorrys,,,,see my problem with them is they never bring em in on time to get them Serviced
Its easy and as I said I'd show you / tell you everything I know to help you out!!

In this day and age I don't always agree that you need qualifications,,,,,think most companies want experience,,,,but hey we can blag that one I know them really well too,,,,,so can point them in your direction

As I said last night, dealing with the lorry bit, shall ok be a lil harder for you as in not having done it,,,,but I'll help you there

I do love my job, although hate my new boss,,,,,,,on to the main man though the group Director and hopefully a meeting this week to "discuss" my views on this new twat!!
In which case,,,,,his a complete and utter t*sser, who's a blagger and will run the company down into the ground
So hopefully they will sack him with a lil luck,,,,,,cos thats what everyone wants
