there really giving me the hump

im on the m25 driving along and then i get bored, i decide to open the car up and have some fun, slow down to 50, change to 3rd and then acclerate as hard as i can #

3rd 6000rpm, 4th 5500rpm then 5th then BANG!!!!!!!, fooker lost all power


im thinking fook can be the boost hose as i changed it what can it be ( cant hear fook all due to stereo btw)

pull over,,,,,, good news cars still running

i poke and feel arround, tug the boost hoses, burn me fooking hand on the header tank yet again

nothings up , oh well back in car, must have sorted its self out im happy either way, i get back in and time to test the car for the truth

i accelerate and then i notice not holding boost again


pull over and test yet again, usual burn the hand thing on that dam chrome header tank YET AGAIN

then when testing under the boost hose for a leak i stick me finger inna 4ins hole


fooker blew apart and split


cars givign me the hump, why cant is just work for a day woth no problems

now i neeed a new boost hose YET again as i just replaced that fooker 3 weeks ago fopr slipping off the i/c and now the fooker blows up


am i the only one with bad luck or are there others

yeah but brom yours is reliable except for that 1 problem

mine just fooks about and when the hose went bang ( fook me it went bang too ) i didnt think it was the new hose i replaced, especially as the fookign car lost power too

i never really use the car, last time i used it was passionford meet

was fine then though ( the boost hose fooker up at the last passionford meet though )

my point was the actual heart ache the car gives me when it decided to throw a strop, im expecting it to cost me and then its minor but then a few weeks later somink else happens


this cars gonna give me a heart attack

ps needed blue silicon i/c to plrnum boost hose again , one that can handle 27psi ( dont tell stu though,m if he asked its 25 )

oh and its not cause its a hose its cause my xr3i cabrio ive owned since may ive never checked the oil, driven it fooking hard, done almost 20k in it and the fooker has never broken down and never give me trouble !!!!

the cossie when i take it out i need to take spares and a fooking tool kit for the next time it decides to break down

I have probs aswel mate. Boost pipe always coming off. It's a Fucker it's like you spoil the dam thing and it just chucks it back in your face thinking ur Mr. Cheap-Skate!

Least it's just a hose mate.

I thought I'd popped a hose the other year then I realised it was running very lumpy on 3 cylinders and when I stopped there was loadsa smoke Melted piston MOst expensive paper weight at work though

Should carry a roll of insulation tape in the car then at least you could tape the split up and save the fuel! Temporary repair sort of.

Just don't let it come on boost unless you have wrapped the whole roll of tape round the split!!

That would be a permenant fix for Jim except his would be the good old gaffa tape!

its NOT the hose im pissed at, its the whole get in ya car and then theres another problem

ive got a xr3i cabrio thats never even had the oil checked !!!!!!, forget actually changing it or topping it up, thats hit the limiter in 5th gear alot too and ok now its a bit shy to go over 105mph ( cant think why though ) its still running , best 600 quid i ever spent
