good friend of mine competed in a rally to mongolia the other year in a sj ,

anyway as we were all chatting the the boozer last night were on about doing a rally to africa on the same principal , cheap low cc engine car sart in london down to the cape of africa ,


so im thinking two sj's ( keeps spares useable between the two )

but anyone got any info on them , pros n cons ect , what bits are weak ect ,


the registration isnt till october for the run in july 2011 ,

just looking into it now see whats ahead of us so to speak ,

land rovers are a lot stonger but there is a nice sj on pistonheads at the min coil spung and on hilux axle's

id go with a landrover discovery instead of an sj, cheep to fix, british & longlasting

engines got to realistically be a 1000cc or less

im thinking we could sneak it out to 1300cc ,

not exactly 3l tdi v6 lol ,

Here is my old SJ.......awsome off road toys and SO SO much better than the HEAVY Landrovers.
My SJ never got stuck once....just pulled itself out of everything........

Great Little off roaders, very popular too, As Tiff Says, these can do stuff the bigger boys such as Defenders, Disco's etc can't do!

sj all the way , ive had mine on the road for about 8 months and had it for about a year before just off road and give it loads of shit its a 1ltr and its pulled out swb pajero disco frontera love it
