they are awesome cars my mate had an m12 mondeo v6 twin turbo motor, went very well indeed, he kept fucking the gearbox up in it though, not sure if it was the 5 speed or the 6speed as i think they chnaged to 6 speed in the later models! he drove his everyday for 12 months and think it went in 3 times for gearbox issues did around 8-10k miles in it then sold it and got a tvr he wishes he kept the noble

So not all are that bad then, i would only be using one as a road car not pushed hard TBH so shouldnt be too bad then.

Whats the avalibilty of parts like?

my sisters ex had one, spent most of its time at noble, 3 months to do a clutch lol, then it had a major water problem so more time at noble, and just constant faults, but when it did work it was an awsome car, he px it against a lotus elise as he had enough of the faults on the noble

..mate it dont bother me nowadays i am far too chilled its nice in a way as it obviously annoys some.

The F-Car i sold to buy rainbirds reshelled Saff that i later had to break for spares..BUT this isnt the forum to go into that

RC4 the 360 is too wide for my garage, it would go in but i couldnt get outShame as i was seriously contemplating AJ's.....i would have to get the drop top version so i can jump out but after the trader asked what the fuck i want with a 360 with a merc like that its sorta made me wonder wether i should plough 40+ k in an inferior car!!!!! LOL So i am looking for a cheaper alternative:

Noble
M3 CSL
355 F1
ETC ETC

I am not prepared to sell up everything for one car.

Noble is 1 cool as fuck car. Great looking, fast and the "god" clarkson loves them! They have a bad rep for reliability. Ask the 'Bird!

I don't agree.

So what if he can afford a nice car and wants advice? Some people on this forum have the cars he has suggested so fuck knows why people wanna be cocks about it. Plenty other cocks on this forum that you can go out and call a cock so it doesnt always have to be Phil

Just posting as I see it. Have nothing personal against Phil, and my comment wasn't based on the cars he drives.

He suggested people were hiding behind tags, so I didn't.

Its well known that nobles are excellent track cars, after all the same man worked on the McLaren F1 chassis as well as the Radical which holds the nurburg fastest lap to this day. The fact they are mostly built of mondeo just makes them easier to work with, also you can fit powertrain parts like the LSD from a mk1 focus RS, as it shares the same box.

...are Nobles just unreliable then if tracked? What about as a road car for the "look at me factor"

Dan/haters understand ONE thing i have to take benzo's to leave the fucking house....do you actually understand what that could be like....its YOUR worst fucking nightmare PAL....So laugh at my misfortune instead of my love for fast cars/bikes.

Love nobles, don't know much about them but they're built in a shed in Leicester (I think) so I can't see it being very reliable tbh.

If you've made a good living for yourself then good luck to you mate. I know if i was in your position i would probably be the same. Whats the point of working hard and reaping the benefits but not spending your money for fear of being branded a show off or "ego-centric".

Fact of the matter is, if Phil was posting about buying an XR2i no-one would be claiming look at me, no matter how much he spoke about it. But because he can and chooses to buy shuch nice cars, should he keep quiet? No!

Exactly! Phil's worked hard for what he's got and he doesn't come across like suggested above at all imo.

He's got some nice cars, fair play to him

As for the tags, I'm seriously considering making them so everyone can see who's posted which tag, I might even do it and not announce it - now that would be funny

You should do it, just to embarress the jealous haters, who never had the balls to make their thoughts public. These are the same people who are on all the 'Scam' threads claiming they'd have been round there already. If you can't say your piece behind your computer, you're fucked I reckon.

I think it should just be setup so that as you hover over a tag it tells you what username posted it.

To have anonymous slagging off on a moderated forum doesnt make a great deal of sense really.

Its good for humour most of the time, but I dont see why that would change if the anonymity was removed anyway.

I had a mondeo with a YB engine in it on a mondeo gearbox, so the potential must surely exist to fairly easily put a YB into a Noble, that would be a cool thing to do if you could find one cheap with a blown engine
