Default Anyone used a V888 form?

I recently discovered you can apply to the DVLA for information on cars using a V888 form. Has anyone ever done this or know what kind of information you can actually get? I've got a car that's been a cat D write off before and one on a Q plate. Would they provide details on those?

Fair enough. Was probably asking too much for the DVLA to provide any decent information.

It mostly for the government to sell your privately held information to those operating extortion rackets like parking fines, clampers etc

Most impressed with the info I received back from DVLA and it really helped build my cars history file. Confirms original purchase/supplying dealer, changes of owners with names/dates etc and all for just Ł5. Bargain.

Cheers, John

Yeh I agree with john always good to get missing years of history/owners when you have a classic car
