I seem to remember some time ago that several people had got their std Cossie inlet manifolds "O" Ringed because they had grown weary of replacing the pathetic paper type gasket that kept blowing out.
I just wondered if any of the aftermarket inlet manifolds were "O" Ringed too, e.g Mike's Swedish type, etc.
Cheers in advance !

Edd, I think all of the aftermarket plenums that are sold are just plenums...and as such would use your standard inlet manifold.
I know Doug Stirling had his O-Ringed by Harvey Gibbs

I had to change my genuinie one about 4 times in 18 months. Total waste of time if your going to abuse the car.
Same goes for the plenum one.
Both can be machine finished and o-ring'd WRC style, but i have found the cometic ones have lasted so far 2000 miles.
Had to port the inlet tho because the ports are very small, seem to be small escort cossie size, unless i got the wrong gasket. But has its alloy this is easily done with the dremel.

Sounds clear now
Thanks.
You have no idea what I've learned from oktober last year till now, since my cos engine is completely in parts right now. Last week I found out the difference between my waterpump and powersteering-pump
