Ive got a ford transit swb 2ltr turbo on an 03 plate, ive had issues with it in the past losing power and the glow light flashing, that seemed to go away after a few miles so i put it down to a dirty connection. I went out this morning and started it up to find the accelerator pedal not working at first? plus it doesnt rev straight away seems a bit lethargic, yesterday it seem'd to have no go then woop it would shoot off (as much as a diesel turbo can) felt like really bad turbo lag, anyone had any issues similar etc or know what i could try ?
my own transit does the same and i was talking to a mate of mine the other day and his two transits done the same it seems to be a common problem and all seems to head to the accerator which is electric ,i havent fixed mine yet but its not a big job to rectify,so ive been told .

The problem with mine was found without the code reader in the end. Mine went back under warranty a few years ago and they replaced the top rubber hose from turbo to air box. Basically it had trapped a wire under it, resulting in it rubbing through, the wire sits near the turbo and is inside some tubular insulation stuff and it feeds a plug clipped to the side of the head i just stumbled across it through luck really, pulled the wire out the way and all has been fine.
