Default ford transit issues

Ive got a ford transit swb 2ltr turbo on an 03 plate, ive had issues with it in the past losing power and the glow light flashing, that seemed to go away after a few miles so i put it down to a dirty connection. I went out this morning and started it up to find the accelerator pedal not working at first? plus it doesnt rev straight away seems a bit lethargic, yesterday it seem'd to have no go then woop it would shoot off (as much as a diesel turbo can) felt like really bad turbo lag, anyone had any issues similar etc or know what i could try ?

try cleaning the EGR valve Paul, if that doesn't work change the throttle pedal.

You could change parts all day long and not solve it, first thing you need to do is read the fault codes and find out what the fault is.

The problem with mine was found without the code reader in the end. Mine went back under warranty a few years ago and they replaced the top rubber hose from turbo to air box. Basically it had trapped a wire under it, resulting in it rubbing through, the wire sits near the turbo and is inside some tubular insulation stuff and it feeds a plug clipped to the side of the head i just stumbled across it through luck really, pulled the wire out the way and all has been fine.
