Question Don't want to sound an idiot but...

What is the "Rat" and "South London" look?

Heard these mentioned in RF and have no idea what it means

Thanks

The Twat, errrrm, I mean Rat look is making your car look rusty and shit.

The South London look is like an old-skool Street Racer really. Very clean and simple looking. Like the Harris Escorts etc.

13" wheels, no arches and low is how i'd describe what's known as "the south london look"

eg:

often can be seen on minilites or revolution 4 spokes too.

That's exactly what I meant. No major additions to the styling. Clean lines, and fairly decked on period rims.

no mate, not at all.
i'm caning about in a 328 touring at the moment, having sold my last project (in my sig still ) to retro_al... and that was about as far from the south london look as you could get!

and Chip's spot on.. they usually are quick.. although (and especially the HPE boys) generally specialise in straight line stuff, which was never my aim with mine.

Proper 'Rat' cars look pretty cool, the average VW that has been made to look 'rat' by its gom owner, does not!

I should think before i type really. Dont want to offend, but how anyone can think the rat look actually looks good is beyond me. I mean, a lot of us own fords so wouldnt have to try hard at all to achieve the rat look we spend our time trying to stop the rat look from naturally occuring
