Default What turbo?

What turbo should i get for my Escort Turbo with the following engine spec...

1600CVH
0.5mm oversise pistons with 1mm machined off to lower compression
Lightned and balanced bottom end - flywheel, crank, pistons and rods
Ported and polished cylinder head
Piper T2 camshaft and vernier
Pace charge cooler (mite be being changed for a GRS cooler)
Scorpion exhaust
Bayoo chip

Do i go for a cossie 4x4 item, an off the shelf hybrid or speak to a turbo manufactur and see what they recomend.

Any advice/contacts much appreciated.

Cheers

What bits do you use off the 4x4 turbo?

I persume you would keep the bearing housing and exhaust housing/elbow off the escort? It it just the compressor housing and shaft off the 4x4 turbo?

So i would be keeping the standard escort shaft/exhaust wheel and just fitting a new compressor wheel and compressor housing cover?

How would i go about replacing the 270bearing with a 360, is it just a straight swap of does this involve more parts?

Cheers.

yeah standard escort shaft, 360 bearing is always advised for increased boost ran and involves core machining for fixing bearing to core

I got this from a website. They were testing all kinds of turbo's on an S2..

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
Finding the right turbo for the car took allot of trial and error, time and money. On and off the rolling road trying to find the best one. Many were tried and this one gave the best torque and bhp figures.

Stage 3 T34 hybrid .48 housing / 55 trim / 360
