I am not clued up, but got this from google

This means that for a given object falling through air, there will be a speed at which its air drag (an upward force) is as strong as its weight (which is pulling it downward). Once it reaches this speed, so that these two forces cancel, there will be no net force to accelerate it further, so (by Newton’s first law) it continues at this speed, which is called its terminal speed.

Sorry, can't find n e thing on accumulated

Terminal speed is the maximum that it has reached and can go no faster

Accumulate is just a verb that means to gather or collect so if you accumulate speed then you build it up

i think the whole accumulated vs terminal argument is something he's MADE UP

he's using words completely out of contect that have no relevance whatsoever

top speed is top speed, end of.

if the guy seriously thinks he was doing 150mph then he needs his head examining

what you need to do is take off the 10% bullshit factor and take off the 10% (minimum) crappy speedo factor...

what youi're then left with is 120mph...

thats probably the REAL speed he was travelling

ps if i went by clock speeds, i could say my saff does 160mph

The Renault Clio 172 was about before the Renault Clio 172 Cup.

It is a 2.0L Clio that pumps out 172 BHP!! Clever eh!!!

The Cup version loses all the extras and becomes lighter, cheaper and quicker.

I have driven a 172 (Not the Cup version) there was 4 of us in the car and the clock was showing 140+ MPH and was still pulling, what the actual speed of the car was at that time is anyone's guess, probably around 120MPH!

Your mate definitely could've seen 150MPH on the speedo of his 172, but I very much doubt his car could actually manage to do a TRUE 150MPH.

Mate has a 172 Cup (brought for his missus but he's quite keen on playing with it) He's had it flat out at 145mph on the clocks and it wouldn't go a jot faster 2 up. Take off a minimum of 10% for the innacurate sppedo and he'd be looking at just over 130mph which would seem reasonable to me.

150mph he is in cloud Max Power land with all the Saxo West Coast drivers
