you can apply for the log book of any car......the dvla will contact the last owner and if no contact can be made then they issue the logbook, obviously with a taxed one, they'd tell you to do one as its clearly being used/looked after


Problem is then taking posession of the car IF its on private land as that involves unlawful entry etc etc

If Jackos mate paid 20 to the landowner and now has the logbook then game on

If its genuine there is 2 numbers missing from the registra one of which was stolen and never recovered that someone i know owned. If neither of those match up its likely to be a copy and have minimal value. If the finder applies for the log book and turns out it was one of the 2 stolen many years ago I am certain the owner would like his car back, please get in touch whoever you are.

And just to help clear that up. This is a BMW 2002 and it wasn't made in 2002 Likewise the 1602 wasn't made in 1602
