Default trailer?

i have a proper sturdy twin axle car trailer which is made out of more steel girders than london bridge

the trailer was built in circa 1800 lol, well maybe not that old but certainly over 20 years old and thus my problem of the wheels. it uses some 5 stud stb axles with a very strange pcd that i'm wanting to change.

does anybody know of a vehicle that uses bolt on stub axles that is common enough to get from a scrap yard to change these over?

lol yeah gonna get some neons underneath aswell

i need to change the hubs as the wheels are old and one has already rusted thru and now can't weld it as there's not enough good metal left! so need to change the hubs to something that i can get wheels for easily, plus as said getting them off another car is 1 cheaper and 2 easier to find wheels for

There are bolt on the rears that is not the fronts 4 17mm bolts in from the back then 2 pop rivot s that hold the brake back plate in place ( there only needed to hold it while the stud is off) was thinking about doing this to my trailer but wanna keep my stone 10" wheels.

Dont have to be base model, any mk 3 4 or 5 fiesta and 5 or 6 escort (not including vans)

Yep 17mm socket extention and rachet undo 4 bolts from the back take drum off with stud axle still in it, hammer chisel 2 rivots to take back plate with all brake still on it (disconnect hand brake cable and cut brake pipe) job done.

Chances are your original wheels may be Peugeot 405 estate wheels. Plenty trailers were built to take those. May be cheaper just to get new wheels if the hubs are ok ?

the hubs are a bit past it tbh and a bearings gone in one now hence changing, when we measured the stud pattern it came up with 5x114.3 like volvo amazon!!!! so not exactly a readily avaliable wheel!

5 x 114.3 very very very common on Jap stuff. Even the Ford Probe (Mazda) would fit

Before you spend too much the police are taking home made efforts off the road now.
Unless it is plated to carry weight they have the right to stop you and park it up.
