TONY - i said it SEEMS the dewitts are the same kits as atm so if you know different then please enlighten us all!

i was only going by information given to me by someone who damaged their ford motorsport original 909 set up and tried the ATM roll bar set up and said it was of very poor quality and material compared to an original 909 kit so is sending it back, and that ATM get the kits from the same company who supply dewiits with theres! so both kits are the same,

so they may be ok if thats all thats available the person who gave me the info said you told them you get your kits from a different company who made them originally for ford motorsport so they are the best quality kits can get

so unless you also use dewitts for your anti roll bar kits and disagree and can confirm these are not the same as ATM then i can only go by what i have been told and make the decision whether to steer clear or not and use your kit

if you gave the facts on here then that would clear it all up as you have this info and i dont, but obviously you dont want to as people will deal direct and cut you out which is not a very clever business move so see why you wont divulge this info,

i am still waiting for dewitts to get back to me about there kits etc, but atm having the reputation they do i would steer clear anyway to be honest

Your secondhand information is incorrect then which is why i replied to this .
I know i wont sell you anything so ive nothing to hide ,but :
Dewitts wont deal with the public in most cases anyway so its no issue for me to tell you thats where i buy from , theyre Ford motorsports main supplier and i have accounts there .
I knew these facts anyway but have had a discussion with them today to re-confirm theyre not made by anyone who supplies ATM's parts !
I have no knowledge of ATM's parts, i did enquire but have chosen not to buy any .They may be very good !

You do get what you pay for in life , i dont doubt youve spent a small fortune on the car youre building and are watching the pennies but somethings are worth buying right !

Hope that answers any of your questions .

Thanks for clearing that up then tony, as I said it was only what I was told by someone else and had yet to hear back from dewitts to confirm anything,

as for knowing you will not be selling me anything, well I don't see how you knew that as if dewitts were not willing to deal direct and none came up secondhand then you were the only trusted genuine supplier of these kits and I would come to you when it was time but it comes across like you are unwilling to deal with me?

I ran my sierra for many years without ARB's maybe fitting them could have improved it, but to me, it didnt need any improvements, handled how i liked it.

Ive dealt with Dewitts many times, dont bother to email them, ring them, though they have moved slightly into the 21st century with half a website !

But seriously, yes they do deal in top quality motorsport stuff, but, it is almost all reproduction by now, as factory production stopped many years ago, yes they have the original drawings as Jeff bought the lot from ford motorsport when they sold up, but some of there stuff can be a compromise, and some of the stuff is just not viable to remake,

e.g. WRC lower tca pin, should be a nice titanium long shanked bolt, pretty large and almost a one off in titanium, the gravel version was steel, so i ordered some, and got cut down M24 bolts, yes they do the job, but i paid a WRC premium for a cut down bolt.

the big stuff should be no problem.

That's £800 front and £800 rear mate hence why I'm trying to shop around,
I'm hoping andrew can take measurements off his focus cossie to position the
mounts on my fiesta so I don't have to buy them right now but I will be buying them at some point and want proper genuine
good quality items,

I may be ok just ordering bushes and mounts now to fix to the car and roll bars and
blades can be bought later

i brought a rally design one and it is utter shit to be honest, but theres no way on this planet iam going to pay £1000+ for wrc items. ive been looking at drag car set ups and found these that come in different lenghts so they might be of some use to you and are proper engineered and cost a faction of what wrc ones cost

$259

cheers paul

sods law,

ive managed to find complete front and rear original grp a/wrc roll bar set ups second hand the day after ive ordered £175 worth of new anti roll bar brackets

so if anybody needs the 2 piece alloy brackets that hold the roll bars let me know as il have 4 new ones and 4 old ones so wont need both, thats if the seller comes up with the goods as ive got to get back to them next week as there still on the car etc
