Default My 3DR over the 9 months of ownership and CXN,s fitted.....yeah ha...lol

Right folks, haven,t posted any pics for ages.. and i,m into 9 moths ownership of the car now... yes me, same car..

Anyway, basically i bought the car off Andy aka Toad-rs back last Spring, the car had a Turbo- Sytems Stage 1 chip and the Stage 2 T3 that,s basically it.

I decided i wanted abit more form the car and being on the Stage 2 T3 i opted for Karl,s Gunship Conversion, i,d heard alot of good things about it and having had Karl map my cossies over 5yrs now i knew i wouldn,t be disappointed..

I dropped the car off for the work etc to be done, i opted to have all the gaskets chnged, crank seals etc Group A HG bla bla, needed a new .48 housing too.

Anyway, about 7-9 days later i had a call off Ollie saying car is all done and ready to collect.

So i got the misses dad to take me to NMS and pick it up and to say i was excited is an understatement.. we pulled up and i saw the car parked outside the unit and i couldn,t wait..lol.. stopped and spoke to Karl & Ollie about what had been done etc, infact i was there for about nearly 2 hours probably boring thier tits off..

Anyway, the journey home was ABSOLUTELY awesome, i thought this shouldn,t be pulling like this it,s only a T3 ffs... great mapping etc as per from Karl & Ollie..

Anyway lastly but not least, i,d ordered some new CXN,s from Martoon with the tyres etc and i have to say he,s been brilliant because i,ve been PM-ing him etc saying where the fook are they for about 2 months... sorry bud...i went over this morning and we fitted them and i,m over the moon with the outcome, i,ve got some 6mm Spacers for the rears just to bring them out a tad...

Sorry for boring you all, just thought i,d update you all..

Thanks Karl & Ollie and Martoon & Tony for all the work and help....

Looks nice...

Personally the Rear wheels and tyres need to be ALOT fatter... just looks wrong right now. Even some bigger profile tyres would look better.

I'd go BIGGER AND WIDER! Bet you don't wanna chop the kit about though do you!

Woulda thought you would have sold it, bought an Evo/Scooby then come back saying how much you missed your SAPH & you bought it back again & give it bollocks saying how special it is & that you should never sold it (again)...blah...blah....blah

i would be tempted to take the dash out and keep it as a spare - especially in this weather.

when I bought my 3dr it only had 2 very very MINOR cracks in it - then as the years rolled by with the car on the drive it soon started.

Just shipped the dash out to Ireland the other day it had a around 5 - 6 cracks now and they were geting noticeably bigger.

I would be too paranoid to drive that car which is why im going to build a 3dr rep which i can then drift into a lampost

Paul, do you think that might be because you,re a different offset to me AND you have the older deeper dish CXNs,??

Pete

It looks as tho they have supplied all 4 wheels the same rather than wider outer rims on the rear

The dish has nothing to do with the new or older wheels mate as its just the centers that have changed

Spacers wont make it look right Pete , the wheels need the correct outers to look right

Yes Paul, but they,re the older 20 Spoked ones, totally different design, they were better that,s why i PM,d you about a few months ago about them BUT comp DON,T make them anymore...even your fronts look different to mine even though they,re the EXACT same size, it,s the wheel design that,s changed Paul...

Paul,

That,s how the new style are mate, look at the ones on Dave car on here, same size fronts & rear dish...

https://passionford.com/forum/pictur...te-3-door.html

Pete

im telling you mate , that isnt how the new style are mate , they have supplied you with the wrong outers on the rear thats why they dont look right

the rears should have a 1" wider outer rim then they will sit right and look wider without tiughing the arches

Pete

I have tried to help mate , If your not bothered then fair enough , but i honestly wouldnt be happy with them at all

They are not right end of story , I had the same delivered to me and when i sent them back they came back with wider rear outer rims and fitted perfect and looked as my black and white car above

Quick Reply: My 3DR over the 9 months of ownership and CXN,s fitted.....yeah ha...lol
