you cant say its harsh without getting further information! do you have a debt on the account from a previous quarter or year that you are still clearing off? have you been recieving estimated or accurate bills every quarter? if its accurate how much does it state your usage is for that period of time? got to look at your yearly usage as well for both fuels to see if your d/d is set at the right amount and finally how many payments have you made on your current scheme? you could be due a reassment which means you could be about to pay less or it may have just been done and thats the right amount!
also people and houseside only have so much effect ive seen some massive houses with tiny bills and tiny houses with massive bills, its completley down to the way property is set up, also in regards to price the likely saving between the energy companies is really only 20-30quid!

best get on a comparison site, i used u switch and entered the exact usage for a years worth of bills with n power last night , and come back that i could save over £300 quid switching,
cheapest was EDF but feedback wasn`t great, so opted for atlantic as had the best overall rating and was about £10 difference from EDF

Fucking hell! You know how big my house is in comparison. We have the kids so always has to be warm. Lots of hot water needed and also sometimes 3 tv's etc all on at same time!
I pay
61 elec
50 gas
And i think i had about 180 odd refund for year ended!
Yours should be nowhere near 130!!
ps what you worrying about bills for, you're loaded

Another energy debate! LOL.
Well, of all the replies so far, we're virtually at the top of the tree. I read our meter on the 27th December and again on the 16th January and we used over £70 worth of Gas in that time. Take into account that we have a wood burner too and only the hob is Gas, the oven is Electric.![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
In actual fact, we are using less Gas this year than last year by volume, its the cost thats higher, but I am still disturbed by it. Our aim for the Spring/Summer is to improve our loft insulation as I know its inadequate, I just hope thats the answer. There is about 100mm up there, but its patchy. I plan to roll out another 170mm over the top of that.
We are also in the process of changing suppliers, I must look at the rates, the biatch sorted that on U-Switch.

I know exactly how much I use as we are on a meter, after gf's doggies was ill and needed keeping warm we had £900 electric for 3 months!!
Now paying this off on metre, takes £6 of every £10 credited, we use average £26.13 every 4 weeks electric, and gas is £66.87 over last four weeks.
I just make a note each credit and how much left, prior to the winter around £38 every 4 weeks in gas.
2 bed semi detached bugallow.

Last year paid £168 month for both & they have recently re-estimated at £145 month
which is silly low & will go back to previous level im sure but it was done to stop me leaving.
.
Ive change several times but none have kept their promise to cut prices, sure you can pay less for a bit but you will just run up a bill, been there done that & am doing it again im sure
.
2000sq ft 4 bed detached, I consider it very cheap cos i like my house warm.
