Default Driving with noisy wheel bearings?

Right peeps, The good news is my pinking has been banished

On the downside I have noticed that the rear wheel bearings are noisy and I'm getting a drone from one (or both) of the rears. I really want to take the car to Southend tomorrow night but don't want to do it any harm.

Am I likely to damage something by taking it or should I just be sensible and take my bus which does at least have a working heater

you could fook the hubs and spindle if your unlucky...

or a bearing could just completely lock one wheel instantly

i drove my car like this for about 2000 miles... one day out of the blue.. i was turning at a roundabout... when CRUNCH... GRIND stop. got out to see the rear wheel a a right pissed up angle! wheel bearing had collapsed
in all honesty its likely to be perfectly fine... BUT its wether YOU feel safe driving it... i woudnt drive mine again if it were noisey... due to the fact that if it had collapsed while i was going 100+ it would of been very messy!

I'll be coming down in the bus then. I can't trust myself to take it easy and I don't want to twat it.

People will have to forgive the 4x4 look with the bus but it isn't being lowered until Saturday. But I did drill the airbox so peeps should still hear me coming. pmsl

there only 10 quid to buy and also ive got spares rear hubs if ya do fook it up

ya sure its not just you being a paranoid fooker as usually the front wheel bearing go first dfue to the forces and being lowerd

personally i WOULD risk it as i doubt the wheel bearign is as bad as ya making out

Well I gave MadMac a lift to the Southern FordSport meet and he noticed the drone as well. I know they are cheap to change but I just don't have the time to do it.

The bus isn't too bad and it now wears the PassionFord stickers with pride Once I lower it on Saturday it'll look almost respectable

But the Audi has heating in it

I'll see if I can have a look tonight and then it will depend on who I'm giving lifts to. Might see if I can bribe my bro into helping me with them.

Ginge mate can you bell me later to give me a contact number for ya?
