map sensor earthing-problems it will cause un earthed?

Default map sensor earthing-problems it will cause un earthed?

i have a fiesta turbo which run when i parked it up at a friends a long time ago, now ive got it back the car starts then just stalls, the map sensor plate has....vanished so cant earth it properly either, will the map sensor cause the stalling? cheers

What sensor is it? Some need the earth, others don't.

It would make it run very bad everywhere if it wasn't earthed.

it does have an earth ring in it as its ofab but really need a plate to mount al the edis etc back to as i think this is probaly the cause

i always thought it used the wires to earth it out
have you not tried to put a wire on the earth (battery) and then fix it to the senser and see if it runs

nope, had no wire in the garage when i tried starting it a while back lol

havnt really tried tbh, started doing a little bit on the escort lately though, done a bit on the engine today so SLOWLY coming along lol. need bloody mig gas haha. that would be much appreciated though thanks mate
