your insurance wil pay for the post - did the old bill turn up or anything?

We have all stacked it by getting caught out by a little to much speed for the conditions. Ideally you would fix yourself, but the cost of the sign and repairs may make a claim a better option.

If they want to write it off, ask them if they will give you the maximum they will pay for repairs and fix it yourself - they shouldn't put it on the hit list IF they are only giving you an amount for fixing it rather than full value of the car.

Ask them, see what they say.

oh dear, should be easy enough to fix though shouldn't? good excuse for a resto
i wouldn't go through the insurance, they'll write off anything these day's, i'd just grit my teeth and pay for the damage myself...

xr2john - get over your self!!!! there is always some who have to be rubbin salt in wounds as if to say they are better drivers, how does any one else know what the conditions were liek 100% with out being at the scene and seeing what happened, from the pic i would say that if you were speeding then you would have been even further into the trees, not just on the grass, the post wont have taken much speed off as they arent actualy that strong and most are actualy plastic.

ingore the people with nothing helpfull to say on the subject man, as for the insurance it could work out cheaper in the long run to do the repairs your self what with then having a claim, what ever you choose then good luck!

sorry to hear there was so much damage honestly didt look too bad from the first pics you posted up.

You're clearly a fucking idiot lad. We've all been caught out at some time by something on the road, and the fact he managed to avoid the girl that he was original heading for, clearly shows he can drive. Now take your bullshit elsewhere please.

Anyway, Sorry to see an erst like that hope its not to bad, and you get it fixed

Yeah and this road has been under snow same as every where else,
Wet road + grit and salt + been feecking cold out, dont mate for good road conditions, and I was under the speed limit, its sign as 60 the the section and i was under well under 50,45.
Who are you then? Lewis Hamilton?

I know it just one of those thing that happen in life and to learn for it, and get the car sorted

CheeRs Benni and everyone else with useful thing to say. I'm going to do what it take to get my lil girl back on the road. Even if I have to leave her in my garage till I can afford to get all the work done, and I'm now def think of a full strip down and rebuild. Get my self a Ł100 banger to run around in.

What often seems like a sensible speed for due road conditions , can in a split second feel too quick when something goes wrong , Im sure he was with his usual care and attention , I mean , he wouldnt want to purposely crash his pride and joy.

Shit happens , we all make mistakes , some you get away with some you dont .

I think its well done to Munkeyboyrd for not hitting the girl. What would we all be saying if he had hit the girl and killed her ?????. I think some of us need to take a look at this for what it really is. It is an accident

Its a car that got damaged and his pride , it happens everyday , that why we have insurance.

Hope you get the car sorted ok

Where you there, in the car with him? no, so fuck off you inbred cunt.

Hes not even that far off the road, if he'd been doing silly speeds, he'd be well into the hedge, so stop being a cunt and fuck off.

yep, my dads 110 locked all 4 wheels at about 10mph, atleast he had the sense to guide it into a signpost, instead of straight out into the main road about a metre infront... they're brilliant when driving about, the trouble comes when you try and stop the bloody things
