My missus read it first time and gave up by the time she had finished reading it!
Then we had a huge arguement ages after and she started smoking again just cause she thought it would annoy me
Shes about to read it again and quit for good this time LOL

My missus said it doesnt go down the usual scare tactics route of banging on about cancer etc, it concentrates on the excuses you give as to why you smoke.
She said something about it telling u smoke at certain points in the book and the more you read through it the less you enjoy them etc

) No scare tactics whatsoever in this method, and it encourages you to keep smoking whilst you read....It essentially conditions you to understand all the excuses you give for not stopping are just bollox and that all the craving your terrified of is, is the little drug inside you dying away... without nicotine your little habit dies and its a painfull death for it, so when you get a craving, you find yourself saying "Yeah, die you bastard..lol".. and lets face it, its absolutely true
The craving is your addiction dying, nothing worse, and they last seconds not minutes, AS LONG AS YOUR MINDSET IS CORRECT.
Also DO NOT USE PATCHS ETC AS THEY WILL FOOK THE JOB

Id personally make my excuses and avoid that pub pal, i really would as inhaling the fumes from others feeds the craving and makes it worse as you are technically smoking slowly and reversing the good youve just done....

Do wanna go to the pub though stu,thats a big prob i thought id have.
Been in the band,and a social drinker, i KNOW im going to be around fag smoke ALOT!!!!!!!
I work with ALOT of smokers,and EVERY1 in the band smokes,so its going to be a FCUKIN KILLER mate!!!!!
But i cant let giving up ruin my social life!!Thats not what i want,or what i plan to gain from quittin,but i DO understand what your saying mate,its a killer decision that EVER smoker shud take at some point!!!
So do you think cold turkey is the answer,if you can acheive that,or just ween your way down?!?!?

Dont get me wrong Pete, many of my pals smoke too, i just feel that a few beers and a load of mates may make the temptation too much after so few days.... You will know when your part way to freedom as the smoke will smell fooking awfull.. thats when the embarasment sets in
Remember also,
If your offered one, say sorry i dont NEED them. Cos lets face it, you only ever smoke cos your body is addicted and NEEDS them.
Try to look at other smokers as adicted to a drug and pity them.. it worked quite well for me pal. Whatever you do, dont ENVY them as your supposed to be HAPPY youve quit Pete
Be happy your free of teh weed pal, its a long slog and fooking hard at times, but stick with it and its the best thing you will ever do for YOURSELF. Bollox to others.
Its a proven fact that cold turkey is the way down, same with hard drugs, the only way to recovery is a body with ZERO drugs in it so nature can start its fight to clean you up. It gets easier every single week Pete, i promise you that.

My missus said that too! She said she saw smokers and felt sorry for them they were being such mugs. She couldnt beleive how bad the smell of a smoker was, and was very embaraced about how bad their breath smelt!
Also, was surprised at how much better in herself she felt health wise, had much better taste and smell too
