v-band exhaust clamps - where from?

Default v-band exhaust clamps - where from?

got the 3dr running yesterday and the join between the turbo and downpipe was leaking exhuast gas, upon trying to tighten the v-band the fooking threadded part sheared off!

so i needs a new v-band.

not measured the size of it yet, but any idea where i can get a DECENT one from please?

cheers christian, i have just thought of a way i can mod the existing one, to use a propper screw. but i suspect just buying one will be the easy option lol.

chris tullet exhaust , very well made exhaust parts
just had a look 73mm to 79 mm clamping is £5.66 +vat

ok its 90mm or 3.5"

does anyone have a pic of the CR turbo ones, as i wont be able to tell over the phone lol

all i can find is this style



and that is like the one i had where the threaded part sheared off.

i have seen some others that look to use an m8? maybe screw, not a threaded bar.

bollocks just been looking at the chris tullet website, i think i may have sussed why it was leaking...

there is a male and female ring that the v band clamps together...

mine just has flat edges that butt up against each other to clamp....

yep i think someone has been using cheapo parts , the chris tullet ones are one of the best ive seen and fit together very tight,

wil has been on the case, so hopefully he will sort me one for some beers

popped over to norris designs yesterday to get one, and they only had 4" + in stock. not to mention the £38 price tag i see how simon affords to run a lambo lol
