Default Ignition Surpressor on coil.....

which side of the coil is it supposed to be plugged in? mines been disconnected and i can hear the spark through the stereo. well annoying.

LIVE side of the coil low tension wires, I would suggest around 1uF should do it, do NOT alter the length of the wire attached to the capacitor/suppressor as this can kill higher FM reception.
If it is line born interference a 16Volt 1000uF electrolytic capacitor can be inserted in the live feed then earthed, or use a LS630 or equivalent choke.

thanks mate. managed to figure it out as it will only connect to one side of the coil as they are different sizes. doh!

didnt make any difference though

still got this annoying ignition and alternator noise through my stereo.

have you just fitted the stereo?

you should be able to get a alternator one from any half decent car spares i would think
