Default diffrence between cosworth big turbo and small turbo engine?

What is the big diffrence between these? Can the small turbo engine handle 500BHP?

One has a big turbo, and I think the small turbo, has a small turbo.......
BOOM BOOM
Nah on a serious note loads of different things, for starters the management is different, head is different, inlet is different. Not sure about the bottom end though.

from what i can remember these are whats different

block has oil spray jets instead of a bar off the oil pump
head
inlet
ex manifold
crank pulley
management
turbo
cam cover
it doesnt run a dizzy and is on seperate coils

the small turbo engine is the best one to use out the lot i was told aswell as everything is far better, better oil design with the spray jets for one, bigger inlet, and im sure i read the head is better than a big turbo once flowed

Although more responsive than its big turbo relation, the small turbo engine is very lmited in scope as a base for a big power engine. It has fords own engine management on it, EEC VI i think, which is the main weak link.

Its only the management thats the limiting factor with them, the engines themselves are a very good basis for big power builds.
