F1 Spec????
#241
I've cracked it - I can call it an Escort Cosworth WRC spoiler, that way there is absolutely no way there can be any confusion with current WRC cars . With this in mind, the F1 springs can be called "DFV F1 springs", which would also clarify things here as well . Much better than "historic" .

Ryan,
That is only assuming a certain amount of motorsport knowledge, which to me is the same assumption as I am making about F1. I personally thought that everyone with a modicom of knowledge knew that these "F1 springs" were from the Cosworth DFV engines of the 80s.
But then I also know there difference in many of the above items.

[quote=Chip;4565471]I think that was Wozzy's intention when he started it
it wasn't chip, it was a genuine question to which i didn't no the answer. how ever sarcasticly i worded it it was still a genuine question

You probably DID know, but your brain has since been addled when you moved to the dark side and purchased that Jap bean tin thing .
Next Dave will be joining you, and he will also forget all his accumulated Cosworth knowledge when he has no need for it due to the reliability (AKA character-less to us ardent Cossie fans ) of his Jap crap Evo .

Chip,
The only point I was trying to make is that if you want to belittle Danny or anyone else for stating "F1 spec" instead of "Historic F1 spec" is that you need to apply this across the board to appear consistant, rather than belittling.
Therefore, myself and anyone else with this kind of spec should really be reminded by yourself and cronies et al, that we have "historic WRC spec" items, so as not to confuse people .

You can't even spell "know", so the jury is out on your motorsport knowledge .

Sheady doesn't use good grammer on this forum either but that doesn't effect his technical knowledge does it. i'm sure he's made you look silly in technical discussions many a time!!

I was attempting to inject some humour, I apologise if it seemed like you were receiving a lesson - perhaps you have spent too much time around Chip to believe that was the case .

MAD / NMS / SCS all seem to be pretty good bets for a YB for example.
Couldnt tell you if one is particuarly better than the other as I have never used any of them, but if I was going to do so I would probably go to Mark just because I have always found him very approachable and I know lots of satisfied customers of his.
I dont think you will ever definitively be able to say that one engine builder is clearcut better than another though!

nice list you have Mike
Now can we see the list without the FAKE WRC parts please
We would not want to confuse people with whats original and whats fake

However, at 4.45, I got into a battle with Lee and thought fuck it, if I get black flagged and kicked off now, who cares at this late stage - so cranked the boost up to the full 2.2 bar and let loose. Had great fun keeping Lee at bay for the last few laps (even though I had no idea he was cheating - I was concentrating that much ) and didn't get flagged :dunno:.
I'm not stupid though, this could have been because they couldn't seperate the noise between myself and Lord Manning, and he can basically hit 300dB and they'll still let him keep going . Perhaps I just need to make sure I always stay within a few car lengths of him .

That will be all the cosmetic parts, which are all copies of the originals - apart from the wings, as they were done by the same guy that did them for the works cars .

So true, like the time me and Rich and Jim went there in Jim's M3 and they were fully booked till we name dropped then they fitted us in no problem

I got just what i asked for so for me thats the best engine builder.
If you hang on a few months Danny & his mate Luke will be facing MAD for the Topspeed crown 'F1' AGAINST 'Isky' if you like .
I asked for an engine to set records, for 5 years MAD have delivered so perhaps he deserves a bumlick .
In case Mike gets excited, that last line is only a joke .

If you wish that, simply add me to your ignore list, problem solved.
But then you couldnt spend so much time moaning about me as you do, so I guess that you enjoy that too much to actually want me on ignore
