Default some help needed re mondy st200 lpg conversion

ok folks , good mate of mine anth recently bought a mondy st 200 ,

now hes bought a lpg conversion kit thats been rempved complete from a st 200 , ecus ,tank, drilled inlet with injectors ect the works,

hes got a few concerns about fitting the kit , regards to dose it need full professional installation by a certified lpg fitter ? or would a skilled mech be able to do the job , as far as im aware i really is a case of mouting the tank in rear , swapping the parts like for like ,

also would he then need to have the installation tested to be certified in his veicle , how does it correspond regards mot and legalaties ect

does anyone know any approved fitter/testers in the north east of england ?

were based in middlesbrough cleveland ,

anyone

Some insurance companies require a certificate of installation, but you get get them from an LPG fitter. Other than that I think DIY is fine.

Hi mate,

You will need a COP 11 Certificate for your insurer, there are guidelines as you would expect when fitting a LPG kit, nothing that I cannot guide you through though if you drop me a PM.

Only people up there I quickly found via google were these :

http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&sou...yjhdL0zvgLl7Tw

You could also check www.lpga.co.uk as there may be someone on there

I would probably ring rm autos though and see if they can or if they know anyone that can do the test for you, its usually about £50.

PM me any questions and if you get too stuck I'll give you my number for a chat about it when you have the bits in front of you.

I would normally agree on that but if its come off the same car and Beefy is capable of building a car from a shell up it IS only common sense when fitting them.

much appriceated fella, i myself will no doubt be lending a hand , but i think karl is going to draw the short straw ,

it is more the legal & testing side of the kit , obv ath has children and family , hes not stupid enough to risk them

ill let him know your advice johnny , ill be in touch no dfoubt mate

No problem mate, I'm only a PM away, I have somewhere still got the COP11 book, christ knows where but it really does state the obvious mainly.
