Default Who makes the best looking gauges?

Who makes the best looking gauges? Well that is always open to interpretation - but who makes the best looking "affordable" gauges. In other words anyone got a suggestion for a gauge that has the look/quality of SPA but a better price point?

Stack makes a nice dash kit sure. Racetech has nice clocks. VDO are looking a bit long in the tooth. Defi is too AKIRA looking for me.

I want a no nonsense race style gauge with a nice sweeper or pointer and proper lighting. I think the Autometer range is just hideous. Here in North America everything I can get my mitts on is usually in imperial and has a distinctly "NASCAR" look to it.

I saw in Fast Ford a couple months back a Ripspeed (I think) gauges that looked quite nice. Asked them about it and got no reply.

Anyone with similar tastes as I have a suggestion?

That is why. And the price is stupid for them.

I want adult gauges. Something that doesn't make my car look like it's a skyline owned by some 19 year old. Simple, to the point and business. Looks like I'll just go and spend the money to do it right.

thers Greddy guages in a freinds evo and they are always going wrong and they are flimsy as ****
i personaly think the ford racing guages are the best looking but i always end up buying racetech. best combination of quality, simple looks and accuracy.

i have a magazine somewhere with all the guages on test.

personally id go for something like VDO.

They are accurate, reasonably priced and will match standard ford dials i.e. black face, white numbering, orange needle's and a green backlight.

ran VDO's in my cossies for years without issue.

Went jap for a couple of years and the cars had Defi's. Lovely gauge's but a tad expensive.

Yeah, racetech has a good look to it. Some gauges I actually prefer a mechanical as opposed to a sender.

No hot oil in my car though...
